Mainz boss signs new contract
Rouven Schröder has extended his contract with Mainz.
Mainz sporting director Rouven Schröder has put pen to paper on a new contract until 2024, the club have announced.
"During my almost four years at Mainz, I have already grown close with the club, the city and the people here. Mainz 05 have developed considerably during this time," said Schröder in a statement.
"I have a real desire to be involved in the projects that lie ahead of us in the sporting field with the professionals and the junior performance centre, but also with the infrastructure and the club as a whole. I'm highly motivated to handle the current sporting challenges and master them with positive energy," he added.
Schröder was appointed sporting director of Mainz in April 2016.
