David Wagner: We must work hard to rediscover our form
Schalke 04 need to work hard to get back to form, says David Wagner.
Schalke 04's winless streak in the Bundesliga reached five games as David Wagner's side were thrashed 0-5 at home by RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Wagner said his team will have to work hard to get back to their best after another disappointing result.
"The game started really badly for us. We played badly and completely deserved the defeat. It's important that we analyse this honestly. We have to accept this and work hard to rediscover our form," Wagner said, as quoted by the club.
"We had too many players on the pitch who aren't in great form, but there are reasons for that. A lot of our players have had to keep playing when perhaps they deserve a break. Others aren’t 100% fit and are lacking a bit of rhythm, in addition to the players we already have out injured," the Schalke coach told reporters.
