Fredi Bobic backs decision to suspend Bundesliga games: 'There was no alternative'

Fredi Bobic believes suspending all games in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga was 'the only right decision'.
Eintracht Frankfurt boss Fredi Bobic has fully backed the decision to suspend games in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga due to to the coronavirus pandemic.

"In great unanimity, the German Football League and all 36 professional clubs made the only right decision on Friday when they chose to suspend all games with immediate effect," Bobic wrote in an article in Kicker.

"In the end, there was no alternative. Because this is not about sport and not about winning titles. It's about everybody's health," he continued.

The German Football League (DFL) has proposed suspension of Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga games until at least April 2.
