Report: Dortmund lead the race for Valencia's Ferran Torres

Borussia Dortmund could bring in Ferran Torres from Valencia as a replacement for Jadon Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund have made contact over the potential signing of Valencia's Ferran Torres, according to Goal and Spox.

Dortmund would be particularly interested in bringing the 20-year-old to Signal Iduna Park if Jadon Sancho leaves the club.

'Die Schwarzgelben' are currently understood to be front-runners in the race for Torres, but could face hefty competition for the striker, whose contract with Valencia runs out in 2021.

According to Goal and Spox, Bayern München have also been tacking the 20-year-old. However, their interest has cooled off in recent months and no concrete talks have been held.

Meanwhile, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus, Atlético Madrid and Ajax are said to have inquired about the player.

Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach have reportedly contacted the Spanish under-21 international's representatives as well, but are considered unlikely to land him due to the huge competition for his signature.

Ferran Torres has played 35 games for Valencia this season, racking up six goals and seven assists.
