Report: Manuel Neuer now 'very likely' to sign a new deal with Bayern

It now seems likely that Bayern München will be able to extend Manuel Neuer's contract after all.
Manuel Neuer has struggled to to agree terms on a new deal with Bayern München, but it now looks like the parties will come to an agreement after all.

Although Bayern don't want to offer Neuer a better financial offer than they already have, both the player and the club are showing a willingness to keep working together, according to Sport Bild, who claims it's now 'very likely' that the 34-year-old will sign a new deal.

Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently told Bild that he is 'optimistic' that Neuer's contract will be extended despite the German international's previous criticism of the club.

Speaking in an interview with Bild on Sunday, Neuer hit out at the club after details of his contract talks with the club have been leaked to the press.

Neuer's criticism reportedly didn't go down well at the club, but in the same interview, the Bayern captain also said that he would like to stay and that he's willing to be flexible in the negotiations with the club, which was appreciated by the Bayern bosses.

The 34-year-old's contract runs until 2021.
