Julian Nagelsmann provides injury update ahead of Freiburg clash
Emil Forsberg will miss RB Leipzig's clash with Freiburg while Marcel Sabitzer and Patrik Schick are carrying minor knocks.
RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has given an injury update ahead of his team's Bundesliga game against Freiburg on Saturday.
"Emil Forsberg will miss out with tonsillitis. Dayot Upamecano is suspended. Marcel Sabitzer and Patrik Schick have minor issues and haven't done every session, but they'll likely be in the squad," the RB Leipzig coach said at the pre-match press conference, as cited by the club.
Ibrahima Konaté and Kevin Kampl are still working their way back to full fitness after injuries.
"Ibrahima Konaté is back fit, but he's not at 100% yet. We need to weigh up the risk of playing him at this stage," Nagelsmann said.
"Kevin Kampl is a bit further along than Konaté. He won't be able to play a full 90 minutes, but is an option to start."
The game will kick off at Red Bull Arena on Saturday at 15.30.
