Inter, Chelsea, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are just a bunch of the European top clubs that have been linked with Timo Werner ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, according to The Athletic, there are only two options for the RB Leipzig striker, who has decided that he either wants to join Liverpool or stay in Leipzig for another season.

The report claims that Werner has already been in contact with Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp and that he sees a move to Anfield as the ideal next step in his career.

Werner's contract runs until 2023 and reportedly contains a dynamic release clause, which decreases each season. This summer, he will be available for €60 million while his clause will drop to €40 million in 2021.
