Reports: Witsel set to complete Dortmund move

Axel Witsel's move to Borussia Dortmund is imminent.
Borussia Dortmund will finally complete the signing of Axel Witsel from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian, both Bild and Kicker have reported.

Witsel will reportedly sign a four-year contract and join the BVB for €20 million. He is expected to join up with the team at the training camp in Bad Ragaz in Switzerland already today.

According to Bild, the Belgian international is set to earn €10 million a year while Kicker reports that his annual salary will be 'just' €7,5 million. At Tianjin Quanjian, the 29-year-old was paid €18 million a year.

With Borussia Dortmund's signing of Witsel, one of this summer's most exhaustive transfer sagas will have its end.

Tianjin Quanjin have been reluctant to letting Witsel go, claiming that the €20 million exit clause in his contract is not currently valid as the Chinese transfer window isn't open.

However, all details have apparently been clarified, and Witsel can finally complete his move.
