Report: Rafal Gikiewicz edges closer to Augsburg move

Augsburg currently look like favorites to sign Rafal Gikiewicz, who will be leaving Union Berlin on a free transfer this summer.
Rafal Gikiewicz is looking increasingly likely to join Augsburg at the end of the season, according to Kicker.

The German football magazine claims that 'Die Fuggerstädter' are showing an interest in the goalkeeper, who will be leaving Union Berlin as a free agent.

A few months ago, it was announced that Gikiewicz will be departing the German capital club this summer. He has recently stressed that he would like to stay in the Bundesliga.

After joining Augsburg in a €7.5 million deal from Stade Rennais last summer, Thomas Koubek began the season as the club's first-choice goalkeeper, but he has been dropped and replaced by Andreas Luthe.
