Bayern confirm talks to sign Leroy Sané from Manchester City

Bayern München are in 'very good discussions' with Leroy Sané's management and Manchester City, reveals sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed that the German champions are in talks to bring in Leroy Sané from Manchester City.

Bild claimed on Tuesday that Bayern have reached an agreement to sign Sané, who is reportedly set to make the move to Germany on a five-year deal for a fee below €50 million.

And speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Salihamidzic admitted that Bayern are in talks to sign the German international.

"We are in very good discussions with Leroy Sané's management and with Manchester City. But now we must be patient. There is nothing more to say," said Salihamidzic.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has previously said that Sané has turned down an extension of his contract, which expires in 2021, and on Wednesday he confirmed that the winger is close to a move to Bayern.

"There are some small issues but it looks like he is going to go to Munich. We wish him all the best and big thanks for our years together. He will have another chapter at a fantastic club in Bayern München. He wanted to leave. Everyone has their own life and he decided to move on. I would have loved for him to stay but he believed he would be better and happier there," Guardiola said, according to Manchester Evening News.
