Report: Dayot Upamecano agrees new RB Leipzig deal

Dayot Upamecano is reportedly set to stay at RB Leipzig after agreeing a new deal with the club.
Dayot Upamecano has agreed a contract extension with RB Leipzig, according to Sportbuzzer.

If Upamecano signs a new deal, RB Leipzig don't have to worry about losing the 21-year-old on a free transfer next year, at which point his current contract is due to expire.

Last year, RB Leipzig were in a similar situation with Timo Werner. The striker ended up penning a new contract, which included a release clause that saw him complete a €53 million move to Chelsea this summer.

Upamecano has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
