Alphonso Davies misses Bayern training ahead of Barcelona clash

Bayern München star Alphonso Davies skipped training on Wednesday as a precautionary measure.
Alphonso Davies didn't participate in Bayern München's training session on Wednesday as the German champions continued their preparations for Friday's Champions League quarter-final clash with FC Barcelona.

The 19-year-old sat out due to adductor problems as a precautionary measure, the German champions state on Twitter.

Bayern coach Hansi Flick is confident Davies will feature against Barcelona in Lison on Friday.

"'Phonzie' was in training on Tuesday and felt something afterwards. His right adductor muscles are a little stiff. It's a safety precaution. We don't think his participation [on Friday] is at risk," Flick told Bild.

Jerome Boateng, who was forced off in last week's win over Chelsea, and Kingsley Coman, who missed the Chelsea game due to a muscular problem, should both be fit to take on Barcelona as well.

Meanwhile, Bayern still have to manage without Benjamin Pavard, who has remained in Munich while recovering from an ankle injury.
