Thomas Müller delighted with 'dominant role' at Bayern

Thomas Müller feels he has emerged as a leading player at Bayern München under Hansi Flick.
Thomas Müller feels he has become more important for Bayern München than ever following the appointment of Hansi Flick as coach in November.

"In any case, this is the most dominant role I've had since I started playing for Bayern," the 30-year-old said in an interview with Sport Bild and continued:

"When I won my first treble in 2013, I was still young. But for you to take on a leading role like the one I've had recently, it's important that the coach expresses his confidence in you. Hansi Flick has done that.

"The rest is history. What he has done to the team over the past 10 months is truly incredible."

Müller scored 14 goals and made 26 assists in 50 games in the 2019/20 season.
