RB Leipzig are on the verge of signing Alexander Sørloth, confirms club CEO Oliver Mintzlaff

RB Leipzig are close to completing the signing of Alexander Sørloth, confirms club CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.
RB Leipzig are on the verge of sealing the capture of Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth from Trabzonspor, where he is on loan from Crystal Palace.

"Yes, we are on the home stretch," RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff told reporters before Sunday's 3-1 win over Mainz in the Bundesliga, adding that he hopes sporting director Markus Krösche will be able to finalise the deal soon.

However, when asked about the potential transfer after Saturday's game, Krösche asked for a little more patience.

"There are a few things that still need to be clarified. It has been a long ride," he said.

According to Kicker, RB Leipzig will pay €20 million plus a maximum of €3 million in add-ons to sign the Norwegian striker, who scored 33 goals in 49 appearances for Trabzonspor last season.
