Marco Reus on Dortmund's Super Cup clash with Bayern: 'We pretty much need to change everything'

Borussia Dortmund have a lot to improve on if they are to bounce back from their most recent away games in Munich, says Marco Reus.
Having lost their last three away games in Munich by an aggregate score of 15-0, Borussia Dortmund 'need to change everything' when they face Bayern München in the Super Cup on Wednesday, according to Marco Reus.

"When you look at our last away games in Munich, we pretty much need to change everything. There were some poor performances," the Dortmund captain said in an interview with BVB TV and added:

"We didn't show our potential at all. So we're talking about some main issues here. Things that we as a team have proven that we're capable of many times. For example to go beyond the limits, to play with courage, to attack early and creating opportunities like that. And then you'd have to convert these opportunities, because you won't get many.

"I'm confident our team is ready for that. But we did this kind of talk before. At the end of the day, we'll have to prove it on the pitch."

After recovering from a long-term injury, Reus has come on as a substitute in each of Dortmund's first three games this season. Asked if he feels fit enough to start against Bayern on Wednesday, the 31-year-old responded:

"Sure. That's why I'm part of the squad. I'm feeling good, although I'm currently not at 100 percent. But every minute on the pitch helps to get my rhythm back. Clearly every football player wants to be on the pitch. But it's the coach's decision."
