Lars Stindl plans contract talks with Gladbach

Lars Stindl is hoping to extend his contract with Gladbach.
Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Lars Stindl says he is prepared to discuss a new deal with the club in the near future.

The 32-year-old, whose current deal expires in the summer of 2021, told Kicker:

"We will certainly get together soon and share our thoughts. I feel comfortable at Borussia and believe I can give the team a lot more in the years to come."

Gladbach coach Marco Rose has previously expressed delight with his captain, who has worn the armband since 2016.

"Lars is a captain, who leads from the front and takes responsibility. This is what I demand of him - and what he does," said Rose at the end of last season.
