Leverkusen set to open contract talks with Julian Baumgartlinger

Bayer Leverkusen want to look into the possibility of extending the contract of Julian Baumgartlinger.
Bayer Leverkusen want to hold contract talks with Julian Baumgartlinger, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, when 'the time is right,' says sporting director Simon Rolfes.

"'Baumi' does a good job, has clear opinions, is very professional and sets an example for the young players in the dressing room with his meticulousness," Rolfes told Kicker.

According to Kicker, the parties will probably sit down together in the beginning of January.

Baumgartlinger, 32, joined Leverkusen from Mainz in 2016. He has played 130 games for 'Die Werkself' with four goals and six assists to his name.
