No need for quarantine: Erling Haaland given green light to play against Hertha

Erling Haaland will not have to self-isolate and is ready to feature in Borussia Dortmund's upcoming game against Hertha BSC.
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been cleared to feature in Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Hertha BSC.

Norway cancelled their trip to Romania after Haaland's international teammate Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for coronavirus last week.

This led to speculation as to whether Haaland would have to self-isolate upon his return to Germany, but the local health authority has now made it clear that the 20-year-old doesn't have to quarantine.

"After Erling Haaland returned to Dortmund, a detailed questioning about the possible contact with another Norwegian player who had tested positive could take place," the Dortmund health authority told SID.

"Mr. Haaland doesn't belong to category 1 (close contact). Therefore, the public health department didn't have to issue a quarantine order."
