BVB boss Michael Zorc plays down Youssoufa Moukoko hype

BVB boss Michael Zorc has played down the hype surrounding 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko.
Borussia Dortmund's highly-rated teenage striker Youssoufa Moukoko turns 16 years old today, which means he's eligible to make his Bundesliga debut against Hertha BSC on Saturday.

Much is expected from Moukoko, who has been scoring goals for fun at youth level, but Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has warned against putting too much pressure on the forward's young shoulders.

"I would like to admit that I believe it's going a bit too far in the media at the moment. The boy only just turned 16. He's certainly an important part of the future at Borussia Dortmund. But it's going too far and there is too much pressure on him. We should all take our foot off the gas and let things develop," Zorc told reporters ahead of Saturday's game against Hertha BSC.

Dortmund boss Lucien Favre said he will decide whether to include Moukoko in his squad after the final training session on Friday.

"He has turned 16 today and is therefore allowed to feature for us. We will see whether he will be in the squad. It's not decided yet. But he has fantastic potential. He's already very, very good, and it's fun to have him in training," said Favre.
