Patrick Herrmann wants to spend the rest of his career at Gladbach

Gladbach winger Patrick Herrmann is keen on remaining at Borussia-Park until he hangs up his boots.
Patrick Herrmann has reiterated his desire to spend the rest of his career at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

"I've always stressed that I'd prefer to spend my entire career at Borussia," the 29-year-old winger, who is still under contract until 2022, told Rheinische Post.

"But Corona has changed football a lot and put a lot of things into perspective. You have to see how everything develops," added the 29-year-old, whose current deal expires in 2022.

"The situation might be an advantage for me when it comes to extending my deal with Borussia, but at the moment we haven't had any advanced talks about it. There is still time.

"One thing is clear: When my contract ends, I'll be 31, so I want to play a few more years. Preferably here in Gladbach, but if it doesn't work out, we'll see what happens."

Herrmann has made a total of 347 appearances for Gladbach with 54 goals and 58 assists to his name.
