Swabian captain Gonzalo Castro will miss two to three weeks after suffering a muscle tear in his squad's Friday night fixture. The Baden-Württemberg club confirmed this unfortunate news the day after earning their first home victory of the season.
As of yet, there has been no further news about Castro's teammate Borna Sosa. The crucial buccaneering fullback also had to be subbed off during the match after complaining about lingering knee ligament issues. Stuttgart indicated that he would be subject to further examinations and evaluations this weekend.
Japanese international Wataru Endo donned the captain's armband after Castro's departure on Friday.
