Maximilian Arnold signs new long-term deal with Wolfsburg

Maximilian Arnold has inked a new long-term deal with VfL Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg have confirmed that Maximilian Arnold has extended his contract with the club until 2026.

"This is such good news for VfL Wolfsburg and a real statement about the further development of the team," said Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer in a statement.

"'Max' has developed through the youth ranks at Wolfsburg to become an established Bundesliga player. He has had an influence on the team for a number of years and has been with the club through good times and bad. He has not just become one of the faces of the club – he is an idol and an example for a lot of our youth team players.

"The passion and unbridled ambition that he shows at every training session and above all his identification with the club make him a perfect example of the path that we want to go down at VfL."

The 26-year-old midfielder has made 296 appearances for Wolfsburg with 33 goals and 37 assists to his name.
