Bundesliga team of the week – Matchday 2

The Bundesliga's top scorer, Adam Szalai, leads the line in our team of the week after scoring two goals in Hoffenheim's 3-1 win over SC Freiburg.
Matchday 2 – team of the week (4-2-2-2):

Goalkeeper: Yann Sommer, Gladbach
Augsburg created a lot of chances against Gladbach, but 'Die Fohlen' only let in one goal thanks to great performance by Yann Sommer who made a total of six saves in the 1-1 draw.

Right-back: Nordi Mukiele, RB Leipzig
The RB Leipzig newcomer was everywhere in the 1-1 draw with Fortuna Düsseldorf. Never stopped running and swung in some great crosses from the right side.

Centre-back: Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, FC Augsburg
A strong and reliable presence in Augsburg's backline. Did well to save a shot from Fabian Johnson on the goal line.

Centre-back: Kaan Ayhan, Fortuna Düsseldorf
The former Schalke player had a very solid game against RB Leipzig. Won 72 percent of his duels and only committed one foul.

Left-back: Jerome Roussillon, Wolfsburg
The left-back looks like a solid signing. Very reliable, calm on the ball and powerful in the 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Set up Wout Weghorst's goal with a great cross.

Central midfielder: Ondrej Duda, Hertha BSC
Had an outstanding game in the 2-0 win over Schalke 04 in which he scored both Hertha's goals - the second from a stunning free-kick deep into injury time.

Central midfielder: Leon Goretzka, Bayern München
Was given the chance in the line-up against Stuttgart and didn't disappoint. Contributed very well to the offense and crowned a strong performance with a goal and an assist.

Offensive midfielder: Thomas Müller, Bayern München (2)
Müller has had a very good start to the season under Niko Kovac. He was involved in a lot in the 3-0 win over Stuttgart and was behind both a goal and an assist.

Offensive midfielder: Yuya Kubo, FC Nürnberg
The 24-year-old loanee from Gent already looks the real deal for Nürnberg. With his speed and quick feet, the Japanese international was a constant threat in the 1-1 draw with Mainz.

Striker: Robert Lewandowski, Bayern München
Scored his second goal of the season as he smashed the ball into the corner of the net in the 3-0 win over Stuttgart. Later, he cleverly set up Thomas Müller's 3-0 goal.

Striker: Adam Szalai, Hoffenheim
The experienced striker once again showed how dangerous he is in the penalty area as he netted twice in the 3-1 win over Freiburg to turn the game around for Hoffenheim. The 30-year-old is now the Bundesliga's top scorer with three goals in two games.
