BVB boss Sebastian Kehl expects Haaland to stay amid links to six European top clubs

BVB boss Sebastian Kehl says he expects Erling Haaland to stay for at least another season despite interest from several big clubs.
Six European top clubs clubs are in the race for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, according to Sport Bild.

The German publication claims Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are all potential destinations should the highly-rated striker leave Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund head of the licensed player department Sebastian Kehl, however, is confident Haaland will stay beyond the summer.

"Borussia Dortmund remain the right club for him, his path here isn't over yet," Kehl told Sport Bild.

"Erling and BVB form a promising symbiosis. This is one of the reasons why we expect him to stay beyond the summer and become an even better player with us."

According to Sport Bild, Haaland has a release clause of around €100 million that will be active in the summer of 2022.

The Norwegian international has found the net 27 times in 27 games for BVB this season. His contract with the Bundesliga outfit expires in 2024.
