Chris Richards reveals Bayern are happy with his development at Hoffenheim

Chris Richards has shared his thoughts on his current loan spell at Hoffenheim and potential future at Bayern München.
Chris Richards has nailed down a starting spot at Hoffenheim since moving out on loan from Bayern München in February, and that hasn't gone unnoticed by his parent club.

"I'm in contact with [FC Bayern] coach Hansi Flick. They are happy with my development," said the U.S. international defender in an interview with Kicker and added:

"I'll try to continue this path in order to prepare myself for next season in the best possible way."

Asked where he will be playing next season, Richards responded:

"Good question. We'll see if [Bayern] buy or sell someone. Right now, I'm assuming I'll go back in the summer to show them what I've learned."

The 20-year-old then went on to state that, "in principle," he could see himself staying at Hoffenheim beyond the summer if it's best for his development.

"But that will certainly not be decided until the summer."
