Dortmund trio ruled out against Köln, Reus doubtful
Jadon Sancho, Raphael Guerreiro and Mateu Morey are all unavailable for Dortmund's clash with FC Köln.
Borussia Dortmund will be without three key players against FC Köln in the Bundesliga on Saturday as Jadon Sancho, Raphael Guerreiro and Mateu Morey have all been ruled out.
The Köln clash comes too soon for Sancho and Guerreiro, who have both missed BVB's last few games, while Morey misses out due to a muscle problem. Additionally, Marco Reus is a doubt after being forced off against Hertha last week.
On the positive side for Dortmund, Mats Hummels has shaken off a minor knee issue, and Manuel Akanji will come back into the squad after missing the club's last six games in all competitions.
"Jadon Sancho, Mateu Morey, and 'Rapha' Guerreiro will not be ready for Saturday. However, for Manuel Akanji it looks very good, he will be in the squad, same with Mats Hummels. We are not certain about Marco Reus just yet," said Dortmund coach Edin Terzic at the pre-match press conference.
Dortmund sit fifth in the Bundesliga table ahead of Matchday 26.
