Dan-Axel Zagadou undergoes season-ending knee surgery

After re-aggravating his knee injury in training, Borussia Dortmund announced that Dan-Axel Zagadou is done for the year.
The BVB confirmed on Thursday that, after a new set-back, French international Dan-Axel Zagadou's season was officially finished.

Zagadou struggled through rehab most of the year after tearing a muscle in his left thigh. The 21-year-old returned to the team to start twice in the Bundesliga's 24th and 25th round.

Unfortunately, the same knee injury that saw him miss significant time at the beginning of the campaign flared up again. A post on Dortmund's website announced that Zagadou had already undergone surgery and will be out for the duration of 2020/21.
