Lewandowski forced off with knee problem ahead of Bayern's crunch clash with RB Leipzig

Less than a week before Bayern München's crunch clash with RB Leipzig, Robert Lewandowski limped off with a knee problem in Poland's 3-0 win over Andorra.
Bayern München have received an injury scare ahead of their Bundesliga top-of-the-table clash with RB Leipzig on Saturday as Robert Lewandowski was forced off with an injury in Poland's 3-0 victory over Andorra last night.

Lewandowski scored his side's first two goals before having to come off after 63 minutes due to a knee problem.

"Robert had pain in his knee," said Poland coach Paulo Sosa at the post-match press conference.

"We cooled it to ease the pain and prevent inflammation. Tomorrow we will examine it more closely. Hopefully the pain will subside overnight," added Sosa, who couldn't say if Lewandowski will be fit for Poland's World Cup qualifier against England on Wednesday.

Bayern are four points clear of second-placed RB Leipzig at the top of the Bundesliga table before the two teams meet at Red Bull Arena on Saturday at 18.30 CET.
