Schalke 04's relegation from the Bundesliga has led to speculation that Mark Uth and Sebastian Rudy could head back to Hoffenheim on permanent deals.

Speaking in connection with Hoffenheim's 4-2 win over Schalke 04 on Saturday, Hoffenheim boss Alexander Rosen told Sky:

"These are two players who have played long and very successfully at Hoffenheim. Sebastian Rudy is our record appearance holder, and Mark Uth has been one of our best goal scorers,"

"But it's not proper to comment on the players of the opponent at this time."

Rudy played for Hoffenheim from 2010 to 2017 and has spent the last two seasons on loan there from SChalke.

Uth scored 33 goals in 86 games for 'Die Kraichgauer' before moving on to Schalke on a free transfer in 2018.

Both players are under contract with Schalke until 2022.
