Hertha confirm new deal for Matheus Cunha amid exit links

Matheus Cunha has signed an extension to his Hertha BSC contract amid reports linking him with a move away from the German capital.
Hertha BSC have revealed that Matheus Cunha has extended his contract by a further year until 2025.

"I can confirm that we have extended Matheus Cunha's contract," Hertha sporting director Arne Friedrich said at a press conference.

"We sat down with Matheus, and we came to the agreement that we're extending his contract for another year."

According to Sky, Cunha already signed the contract back in September.

Cunha has recently been linked with a switch away from the club, with Leeds United, AS Monaco, SSC Napoli and Atalanta said to be interested.

The 21-year-old has racked up eight goals and eight assists in 28 games for Hertha this season.
