Gomez: 'I can't do anything else than scoring goals'
Yesterday, Mario Gomez scored his Bundesliga goals number 164 and 165 - and he says he won't stop hitting the back of the net until he retires.
VfB Stuttgart veteran Mario Gomez crowned his 300th Bundesliga appearance with two goals in yesterday's 3-3 draw with SC Freiburg.
In total, Gomez has netted 165 times in the Bundesliga since he made his debut in 2004 - and according to himself scoring goals is what he does best.
"There are still a few to come. I can't do anything else than scoring goals," Gomez told Kicker and added:
"Scoring goals is my motivation for playing football. I've been doing that since I was five years old, and I will do that until I retire."
The 33-year-old, who announced his international retirement in August, scored 31 goals in 78 international appearances for 'Die Mannschaft'.
