Report: Rennes target Hertha defender
According to reports, French side Stade Rennes are looking at Hertha BSC and Belgium defender Dedryck Boyata to strengthen their back-line.
French publication RMC Sport lead the rumors, suggesting that Boyata is the first option on the Rennes list for a center-back following a breakdown in talks to sign Lens defender Loic Bade.
According to Get Football News France, Boyata himself has spoken about the links with him and Rennes as well as the proposed project in the north of France.
Reports suggest Boyata is going to have a meeting with Rennes manager Bruno Genesio about potential plans for the Belgian within the Rennes setup.
Boyata is currently on international duty with Belgium at EURO 2020, having started in the win vs Denmark in Copenhagen during the group stage.
