Robin Gosens has criticized the media ahead of Germany's Euro 2020 round of 16 clash with England tomorrow.

Germany went through in second place in group F after losing 0-1 to group winners France, beating Portugal 4-2 and drawing 2-2 with Hungary.

In terms of results, their Euros campaign has been a rollercoaster ride, but Gosens believes the German media's coverage has been too black and white.

"After the Portugal game we were the nation's heroes, but after the Hungary game we were zeroes again. This contrast is too big for me," the German international told reporters at a press conference.

"Obviously everything wasn't perfect, however we still made it through the toughest group in second. I'm confident that we can build on our performances against France and Portugal and reach the final. That's our aim."
