Hack signs new Mainz deal

Mainz centre-back Alexander Hack has extended his contract with the Bundesliga outfit.
Alexander Hack has committed himself to Mainz 05 by signing a new contract with the Bundesliga club.

The 27-year-old centre-back has extended his contract, which was due to expire in 2022, by two years until 2024.

"'Hacki' represents a lot of what we want to be here: He identifies strongly with the club and our sporting philosophy. His footballing quality and good nature make him a valued part of the team," commented Mainz coach Bo Svensson.

"As a coach, it's great to have a player like Alexander - you can always rely on him to fully contribute his athletic qualities, such as his strong left foot, his vision and his reliability on and off the pitch, for his team and his club."

Hack has made a total of 93 appearances for Mainz with four goals and two assists to his name.
