The Jamaica international has been a wanted man for quite some time in the transfer market with some top clubs such as Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham among others, in his pursuit.
Now, Aston Villa are keen on bringing him to the English Premier League - according to the latest reports from England.
His contract with Leverkusen expires in June 2023. With two years left on his contract, the club will want to cash in on him given his huge demand & €40m tag price, and not lose him on a free transfer after next year.
Villa are keen on bolstering their attacking options after signing playmaker Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City.
Last season in Germany, Bailey racked up a goal every 239 minutes – bettering now Manchester United player Jadon Sancho’s tally by 20 minutes.
Bailey scored 15 goals and provided 11 assist in 40 matches in 2020/21.
