Report: Dortmund miss out on Demiral

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly not be signing Merih Demiral as the centre-back is heading to Atalanta.
Borussia Dortmund are set to miss out on the signing of Juventus defender Merih Demiral, according to Sky Germany.

'Die Schwarzgelben' were linked with a move for the Turkish centre-back, but the 23-year-old has now opted for a move to Italian side Atalanta, per the German media outlet.

In addition to Dortmund, Leverkusen have been said to be interested in Demiral, but none of the Bundesliga clubs have made an official offer for him.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said last week that 'Die Schwarzgelben' are keeping a close eye on the centre-back situation, but don't necessarily have to reinforce the position.
