SV 07 Elversberg permanently signed Łukasz Poręba from Hamburger SV for a reported €1.6 million transfer fee. The Polish central midfielder played every game in Elversberg’s historic campaign that secure a first-ever Bundesliga promotion.

At the end of his successful loan, Elversberg exercised their “option to buy” as he has now signed a three-year deal. The 26-year-old achieved back-to-back Bundesliga promotions with HSV and Elversberg.

“We are very pleased that Lukasz will continue to be an integral part of our team. He showed last season how valuable he is to the squad. He played a big part in our success. In addition, he has also blended perfectly with the values of our club,” said SVE sporting director Christian Weber.

“Last year was special for me in all respects. With the promotion to the Bundesliga, we have achieved something historic together. I felt very comfortable from the beginning. And it feels right to continue on the common path and the coming challenge of Bundesliga," Poręba commented after the deal that keeps him in Germany.
