Rolfes leaves door open for possible Tah sale

Simon Rolfes is still not ruling out a move to Bayern Munich for Jonathan Tah.

Kicker recently reported that Jonathan Tah's move from Bayer Leverkusen to Bayern Munich appeared to be off the table.

However, Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes is leaving the door open for the transfer.

“I am not responsible for the financial situation of other clubs. Our focus is clear that ‘Jona’ is an important player,” Rolfes told Kicker after Leverkusen's 1-1 friendly draw against Real Betis on Saturday.

“He played a good game, concentrated and focused. Just like he trained. Nothing has changed the situation. It's the same today as it was a week ago,” he added.

“The transfer window runs until August 30. And you can assume that we have our ideas and know what we want to do. But I don't want to say everything,” said the Leverkusen boss.

Reports have claimed that an offer worth €30 million - €25 million up front and €5 million in add-ons - could make Leverkusen sell the centre-back.

Bayern are said to be close to finalizing a deal with Manchester United that would see Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt move to Old Trafford for €60 million.
