After relieving Horst Steffen of his duties on Sunday, Werder Bremen are now searching for a new head coach.

According to Sky Germany, the club is in direct talks with two candidates - and they're both from Denmark and sharing the same first name.

The Green-Whites are reportedly considering Bo Henriksen and Bo Svensson.

Henriksen most recently coached Mainz from February 2024 until December 2025.

He saved Die Nullfünfer from relegation in the 2023/24 season and guided them to an impressive sixth-place finish the following year before being dismissed after a disappointing start to the 2025/26 season.

Svensson also previously coached Mainz, but most recently served as 1. FC Union Berlin’s head coach from July to December 2024.
