Transfer rumours linking Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon with Bayern Munich continue to heat up, according to Sport BILD.

According to the tabloid, the winger's agent, Gordon Stipic-Wipfler, was in Munich last week to hold discussions with Bayern.

Concrete figures have been discussed, with the Premier League side staying firm to their asking price of €86million as things stand.

It seems clear that the recently crowned German champions will not pay that fee, but are not giving up on the English international.

The goal is to reach an agreement with the 25-year-old himself and then start to negotiate the price down with Newcastle.

Should the Gordon transfer fall through, Bayern already have alternatives in mind. One of which is said to be Barcelona loanee Marcus Rashford.
