Tuta to take on more responsibility after Hinteregger's retirement

Tuta could become even more important for Eintracht Frankfurt in the wake of Martin Hinteregger's retirement.
Following Martin Hinteregger's surprising retirement, Tuta could become Eintracht Frankfurt's new leader at the back.

"I think he's capable. He's still young, needs to be significantly louder on the pitch and coach more. But he has all the required skills we need when we play with three at the back," Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche told Bild.

Tuta already impressed as the central defender in a back three last season and was rewarded for his impressive performances with a long-term deal until 2026.

"He's a good footballer, has a flair for defending far up the pitch, is clever in one-on-one situations and has a very good understanding of the game. Therefore, it's a position that suits him very well," said the Frankfurt boss.
