Bayern boss gives update on Lucas Hernandez, Hudson-Odoi, de Ligt and de Jong

Bayern München boss Hasan Salihamidzic has been asked about four of the club's transfer targets - Atlético Madrid's Lucas Hernandez, Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi as well Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.
Bayern München have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks. In an interview with Sport Bild, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has been asked about four of them.

At the end of December, Marca reported that Atlético Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez would join Bayern München in January as the Germans were reportedly willing to trigger a €80 million release clause in his contract.

However, Salihamidzic says Bayern are unlikely to sign the French international this month.

"We have already had talks, and there will be more. It's unrealistic that he'll join us in the winter," he told Sport Bild.

Salihamidzic has previously openly said that Bayern are interested in Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi, and that is still the case as talks with Chelsea are ongoing.

"We want to sign the player. I'm fully convinced of his abilities. We are in talks with Chelsea," Salihamidzic said.

Finally, Salihamidzic spoke about Bayern's reported interest in Ajax duo Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong.

"Both are very good players with great potential to develop. But we have to see what we need in the summer," the Bayern boss explained.

Bayern München recently announced that French world champion Benjamin Pavard will join the club from VfB Stuttgart in the summer.
