Hannover boss downplays sacking rumors

Hannover 96 president Martin Kind has ruled out that head coach André Breitenreiter will lose his job before the game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Rumors have flourished that Hannover 96 have decided to part ways with head coach André Breitenreiter ahead of Saturday's game against Borussia Dortmund.

However, speaking at the club's New Year's reception today, Hannover president Martin Kind downplayed the rumor and made it clear that Breitenreiter will remain in charge for the upcoming game.

"I was very surprised by the headlines in the media this morning and would like to point out that neither I nor Horst Heldt (Hannover 96's sporting director) want to comment on the coach. This is all speculation, and we don't want to speculate. We're playing against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, and coach André Breitenreiter will be in charge," Kind said.

Hannover 96 are currently 17th in the Bundesliga.
