Official: Augsburg return Michel to Paderborn
The return of veteran German striker Sven Michel to SC Paderborn 07 was confirmed yesterday.
Sven Michel's rumored return to SC Paderborn 07 has been confirmed. The 33-year-old returns to the club he represented for six seasons between 2016 and 2022. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that Michel's Bundesliga side have secured a transfer fee of €300,000 for the player they signed on a free last summer. Kicker also claims that Michel's new deal in East Westphalia (not divulged by the club) runs for two seasons.
"Sven has everything it takes to add quality to our squad in attack," managing director of sport Benjamin Weber noted in a club statement, "He has played at the highest German level for several years and gained extensive experience at his stations. His dynamism, mentality, and personality will help us on and off the pitch."
