Official: RB Leipzig sign Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Hannes Wolf

RB Leipzig have announced the signing of Red Bull Salzburg's Hannes Wolf who will make the move to Germany in the summer.
Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Hannes Wolf will join RB Leipzig in the summer, 'Die Roten Bullen' have announced.

The 19-year-old offensive midfielder will move to Germany on July 1 and has signed a contract until 2024.

"Hannes has caught our attention due to his prominent development. He is a versatile attacking midfielder, and we're pleased that he's decided to take the next step in his career from the start of July," RB Leipzig sporting director and head coach Ralf Rangnick said, as quoted by the club.

Curiously, back in November, Wolf complained about the fact that RB Leipzig always seem to get more attention than their Austrian sister club.

"The period when each and one of us wanted to go to Leipzig is long gone," he said back then.

RB Leipzig have previously signed a number of players from Red Bull Salzburg, including Peter Gulacsi, Dayot Upamecano as well as Naby Keita who now plays for Liverpool.

Just recently, 'Die Roten Bullen' have been linked with Xaver Schlager who also plays for Red Bull Salzburg.
