Report: Bayern in 'intensive negotiations' for Werner – Havertz is not a summer target

Bayern München are reportedly in 'intensive negotiations' with RB Leipzig for Timo Werner. Meanwhile, Kai Havertz is apparently not a transfer target for next season.
Bayern München are in talks with RB Leipzig over Timo Werner, Kicker understands.

Apparently, 'intensive negotiations' are underway as Bayern eye the signing of the German international this summer.

RB Leipzig have offered Werner a new contract and have made it clear that the striker will be sold this summer if he doesn't want to extend his current deal which runs until 2020.

Bild has previously reported that RB Leipzig have set a starting price of €60 million for Werner and hope to get at least €40 million for him.

Bayern have also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, but the German champions will not try to sign the 19-year-old this summer, according to Kicker.

Instead, the German news outlet claims that the German international could be targeted by Bayern in 2020 at the earliest.
