Leon Goretzka 'not happy' with bench role at Bayern

Leon Goretzka isn't satisfied with his current bench role at Bayern München.
Bayern München midfielder Leon Goretzka says he's 'obviously not happy' when he's not in the starting eleven.

After returning from a muscular problem, Goretzka has started just one of Bayern's last four games.

And speaking after Bayern's 2-0 win over Augsburg on Sunday, which saw him come on to score, Goretzka admitted he would like to play more.

"I feel I'm in the best condition of my career. Therefore, I'm obviously not happy when I don't start," Goretzka told Kicker and added that he "has to accept" that it's the coach's decision.

"You just have to keep working, stay in form and make a good impression of yourself," the midfielder said.

Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said:

"When he's on the pitch and does what he did today, he's allowed to express his dissatisfaction. But I prefer when such things are discussed in private."
