DFB-Pokal tie between Regensburg and Werder set to be postponed
Jahn Regensburg and Werder Bremen are scheduled to meet in the quarterfinal round of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday, but the game is unlikely to take place.
Tuesday's DFB-Pokal quarterfinal clash between Jahn Regensburg and Werder Bremen is likely to be postponed.
In an official announcement on Monday, Werder state that the game is expected to be called off due to several positive COVID-19 tests in the Regensburg camp.
The two clubs are currently waiting for the German Football Association (DFB) to make a final decision on the game.
Regensburg coach Mersad Selimbegovic tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, but their 2. Bundesliga game against Paderborn still went ahead as planned and was played on the same day.
A further round of testing on Sunday then returned several more positives.
