German Football Association confirms Hofmann and Halstenberg are in self-quarantine
Jonas Hofmann and Marcel Halstenberg have been officially ruled out of Germany's clash with Iceland.
The German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed reports that Jonas Hofmann and Marcel Halstenberg have been placed in self-isolation ahead of tonight's World Cup qualifier against Iceland.
"The health authorities have issued a quarantine order for Jonas Hofmann and Marcel Halstenberg. Get well soon, guys," a Twitter statement from the DFB reads.
"All other players and staff tested negative again on Thursday and continued preparations for #GERISL as planned."
