Mats Hummels wants to sign a new contract with Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund veteran Mats Hummels is open to extending his contract with the club.
Mats Hummels says he's keen on extending his contract with Borussia Dortmund, which expires in 2022.

"I'd like to tie myself down for a bit longer. At least for another year. And, the way it looks now, probably a year more than that," the 32-year-old centre-back told Sky.

Asked how long he would like to keep on playing, Hummels responded:

"It's completely impossible to predict now what will happen in two or three years. If I'm physically fine and feel I can stay play at this level, I'll be happy to continue."

Hummels has featured 45 times this season, chipping in with six goals and an assist.
